The new iMac and new 2023 MacBook Pro soon available

The new computers are part of Apple's new bet and promise to bring major competition to the market.

Apple ended the month of October with one last new product launch event. This time, under the motto "Scary Fast", the brand unveiled a new MacBook Pro, a new iMac and a new family of chips.

The new M3 chips: faster than ever

The big news at the Apple event was the new M3, M3 Pro and M3 Max chips. It had been speculated for several months that Apple was already working on the M3 and that it would be part of the new 14 and 16-inch MacBooks. Mark Gurman's predictions have come true.

The M3 chip is more orientated towards everyday tasks. Its architecture consists of an 8-core CPU, a 10-core GPU and up to 24 GB of unified memory. For comparison, a MacBook Pro 14 with an M3 chip is 17.7 per cent faster than a MacBook Pro 13 with an Intel Core i7.

The M3 Pro chip, more geared towards programmers and creatives, features a processor with a CPU of up to 12 cores, a GPU of up to 18 cores and up to 36 GB of unified memory. A MacBook 14 with the M3 Pro can be up to 24.7 times faster than a MacBook Pro 13 with an Intel Core i7.

Finally, the M3 Max promises incredible performance, aimed at creating multimedia content and highly complex projects such as 3D rendering. The architecture of the M3 Max consists of a CPU with up to 16 cores, a GPU with up to 40 cores, and up to 128GB of unified memory. By the same comparison, this chip is up to 49.1 times faster at rendering.

The new MacBooks Pro M3

The Pro line of Apple laptops has received new models. The 2023 MacBook Pro comes in two colours and sizes: the famous silver is joined by the new sidereal black; and in terms of size there are 14-inch and 16-inch models.

The great novelty of these laptops lies in the chip. The new MacBook Pro M3s promise above-average performance and speed like you've never experienced in a MacBook before. These computers are suitable not only for everyday tasks, but also for students, creatives and professional users.

The MacBook M3's Liquid Retina XDR screen is 20 per cent brighter, and is accompanied by a six-speaker sound system capable of an immersive experience. In terms of autonomy, the new laptops promise 22 hours, and the same performance even without a charger.

The long-awaited iMac 24 for 2023

A new line-up of iMacs has long been expected, following the launch of the colourful 2021 models. At Apple's latest event, a new and equally colourful set of the brand's flagship computers were unveiled.

At first glance, it's the same colours and the same design. However, Apple assures us that these new computers are thinner and lighter. Once again, the M3 chips are the star, making it possible to do more and better with the new machines. Another new feature, in terms of connectivity, is compatibility with Wi-Fi 6E networks, enabling fast data transfers.

On the rear, the iMac 2023 features 4 faster Thunderbolt ports, and on the user side, a 4.5K Retina display, a 1080p camera and a Dolby Atmos sound system with Spatial Audio allow you to work, take part in video calls, play games, watch series and much more.

As predicted by many experts, the event did not include the launch of new iPads, confirming the prediction that Apple will not launch any new iPads this year.
