The study states that these failures were largely due to the release of iOS 10. Between July and September of this year, bugs occurred in about 62% of Apple devices against 47% of Android models. In addition to the iOS 10 update, these bugs are also blamed on one of the most popular games for smartphones, Pokemon Go. The application has stopped several times due to compatibility issues with the new system. The errors also extended to other applications of great use such as Instagram, Snapchat, facebook and Messenger. Comparatively, the same applications had fewer problems on android devices, with Samsung being the brand with the highest percentage of failures. Remember that Apple already had iOS 10 operational on 54% of its devices in the period in which this study was conducted. Which directly contributed to the increase in the number of bugs compared to the competitor Google that has its Nougat version on only 0.3% of active devices.
