The Samsung S23 and the big news of Samsung Unpacked 2023

The big event that officially brought the new Samsung S23 to light.

Samsung Unpacked took place on the 1st of February. This is the brand's big event, where the banner's big bets for this year are launched. The Korean company unveiled the new Samsung Galaxy S23 smartphones and the new Galaxy Book notebooks.

In the field of smartphones, the Samsung Galaxy S23, S23+ and S23 Ultra were launched.

The Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra was inspired by the Galaxy Note line, where camera power and performance are the watchwords; in such a way that the entire event was recorded with this smartphone. The main camera, a 200MP wide sensor with Super HDR was the star of the day. Still at the rear, the S23 Ultra has a 12MP ultra-wide camera and a 10MP Telephoto camera. Video mode allows content creators and professional videographers alike to meticulously fine-tune their productions. The concept of Nightography was raised, namely by bringing it to the front camera or portrait mode., intelligently identifying faces and objects. Among other specifications, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, the internal cooling system, and a 5000mAh battery stand out.

The Samsung S23, the base of the lineup, has a 6.1-inch screen with Dynamic AMOLED technology and a 120Hz refresh rate. As for the battery, the S23 comes equipped with a 3900mAh battery, with fast charging capability at 25W wired, 10W wireless, and the ability to charge other devices at 4.5W. As for the cameras, this smartphone features, at the rear, a 50MP wide sensor, a 10MP telephoto, and a 12MP ultra-wide.

The Samsung S23+ doesn't stray too far from the S23. It features slight differences such as the larger 6.6-inch screen and the 4700mAh battery.

Samsung S23 smartphones also had a more focused communication on environmental impact. The smartphones in this lineup have the highest percentage of recycled materials ever in a Galaxy: components made from 80% recycled PET plastic, a screen with 22% recycled glass, and even 20% plastic found in the oceans.

The three models will be available for sale from February 17th.

Finally, Samsung Unpacked unveiled the Galaxy Book3 Pro and Galaxy Book3 Ultra notebooks. The Galaxy Book3 Ultra is only available in a 16-inch version, with a latest generation Intel Core i7 or i9 processor, with up to 32GB of RAM, and up to 1TB of SSD. The Galaxy Book3 Pro is available in 14- and 16-inch versions, and shares several specs with the Ultra model.
