Samsung's new operating system, One UI 5, is coming to the brand's smartphones, and with it a series of new features that promise to take the experience of using a Galaxy to a new level. We present you 5 of the novelties of One UI 5.

One of the biggest novelties is Bixby Text Call, which is already available in Korea in the current version of the operating system, but which will be released in English at the beginning of 2023. It is a function that allows you to answer a call and interact with the caller via written messages. For example, if you are in a very noisy place and you have to answer the call, just answer it with a text message. The message will be read by your mobile phone and the person on the other end will be able to hear it. In return, the other person can respond by speaking, and the system converts the communication into a written message.

The already known iOS concentration modes will also reach Galaxy users, with the Routines feature. This is the definition of a set of usage profiles where you can customize notifications, the appearance of the operating system (namely switching to night mode).

iOS 16 brought the new Lock Screen, and One UI 5 jumps on the bandwagon and adds a new feature: the ability to set a video clip as a screensaver.

Another feature is the overlay of widgets on homescreens. Several widgets can be located in the same place on the screen, accessible by swiping the screen.

As far as security is concerned, One UI 5 will detect the presence of sensitive information in your photos, such as card or ID numbers.
