The iPhone 14 has arrived! All Apple Event news

The September 2022 Apple Event took place this Wednesday, and with it Cupertino technology brought the new iPhone 14 and Apple Watch 8 to the world.

Apple presented the highly anticipated September Apple Event in an online event with worldwide video streaming. At this event, new equipment such as the new iPhone 14 or Apple Watch Series 8 and the new AirPods were presented.

The iPhone 14 and 14 Plus were the first smartphone models to be introduced: the first with 6.1 inches and the second with 6.7 inches. The design is similar to last year's lineup. Smartphones will have the A15 Bionic chip, with an image processor that allows you to take more advantage of the cameras. The 12 MP main camera allows for great performance in the most varied conditions, namely a 49% improvement in low light conditions. The internal camera will have True Depht and autofocus, allowing for high quality selfies and video calls. In terms of video, an Action Mode allows for stable video recording.

The great novelty of the iPhone 14's connectivity is the removal of the SIM slot on models sold in the US.

The iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max bring the reduction of the upper notch to an interactive bar, where the True Depht camera is housed. The rest of the notch will serve as an information bar for notifications or background activities, called Dynamic Island. On this “island” the user can access applications in use such as calls, music player, and others. In terms of the screen, these models introduce the Always-On Display, which reduces the refresh rate to up to 1Hz to give information such as notifications. In terms of processor, the new A16 Bionic was presented, which combines processing speed and energy efficiency; promising 40% faster speed than the competition.

The 48MP camera and quad-pixel sensor is the big news of the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max, with improvements in light capture; which allows a high improvement in capturing details and textures. ProRAW was another novelty, which allows you to take more advantage of the triple camera system.

The Apple Watch 8 also includes an Always On-Display. Among the sensors, the new temperature sensor stands out, specially designed for women's health and monitoring of menstrual cycles. Safety was another aspect raised, which is why the Apple Watch 8 includes Crash Detection, which connects the user with emergency entities in case a serious road accident is detected. This is a technology also present in the new iPhone. To save battery life, the new Apple Watch even includes a power saving mode.

Among the Apple Watch lineup, the new Apple Watch SE was also introduced, with a screen 30% larger than the Series 3 and 20% faster than the first-generation SE. It's a smartwatch with specifications designed for children, such as quick access to predefined contacts and other simplified functions.

Another novelty was the Apple Watch Ultra, which confirms the rumors in terms of design, with a straight screen, with a titanium dial and a sapphire glass, for durability and a premium finish. The screen, the largest ever, and a customizable action button are other new features included. Apple Watch Ultra includes a second speaker for more powerful sound, and the biggest battery ever with up to 60 hours of battery life. A new dial, suitable for adventures in nature. The improvement of GPS reading was another novelty, with double frequency.

All this equipment includes a new communication system that, in case of an emergency in remote areas without a network, the user will be able to communicate directly with satellites and issue the emergency signal to the competent authorities.

Finally, the new AirPods Pro offer the new H2 chip, which provides a new audio experience. Through the new iOS, the new earphones allow a personalization of spatial audio. The new chip also allows for twice the noise cancellation. Another novelty is the new touch sensor on the pods, which through swiping movements it is possible to control the volume. The new AirPods Pro will support Apple Watch and MagSafe chargers.
