Apple WWDC 2017 – The latest news

At the end of yesterday, Apple's most recent keynote took place and, as usual, several news were announced, from software, hardware, equipment and even one last surprise.

Apple HomePod

HOMEPOD This was the big surprise that Tim Cook saved for last. Apple wants to reinvent the way we listen to music at home and for that it has presented this powerful speaker to listen to all your songs on Apple Music. Another great advantage is the level of interaction that HomePod will allow with users, since it can be integrated directly with Siri, and even in homes with advanced systems it will even allow you to turn lights on or off, open doors, etc. . Thus, Apple will also be able to compete with existing equipment in this segment, Google Home and Amazon Alexa. The product launch is scheduled for the end of this year, but in Portugal it should only arrive in 2018, and the price for our market has not yet been announced, but it is expected to be around €400. Apple's operating system is once again improved, with a new design and new features, especially the App Store, which is completely redesigned. To begin with, Tim Cook presented the messaging app that is now integrated into iCloud, which will allow us to have messages synchronized across all the brand's devices. Siri also comes with a smarter version, with significant improvements in the information it can give users and mainly due to the new translation feature for several languages. One of the most surprising news, but which demonstrates the brand's commitment to bringing added value to its users, will be the fact that Apple will now allow money transfer through the Apple Pay application. Apple has also shown special attention to Security, and therefore, the new system will automatically detect when the user is driving and automatically blocks all possible distractions and will even allow you to send automatic responses by message. Also noteworthy is ARKit, a new platform for developers to develop augmented reality experiences for the iPhone and iPad, which could revolutionize the world of apps and games, due to its ability to interact with the real world. In this way, a new world of possibilities opens up for developers in this segment of Apps and Games with the new iOS 11. And based on the latest rumors, we leave the question in the air: will the next iPhone be the gateway to augmented reality? We'll have to wait and find out...

The new Mac experience will start with Safari, which Apple calls the fastest and most secure browser on the market. So that you browse without worries, the browser will start to avoid the auto play of unexpected videos.
