The iPhone 13 Pro's Macro Mode Is Also Helpful For Doctors

While most users use the new Macro mode, available on the iPhone 13 Pro camera, to capture details of nature, Dr. Tommy Korn found that this feature can also be useful for eye care.

It was through a post on LinkedIn, that the ophthalmologist shared the story of how he has been using his new iPhone 13 Pro Max to check his patients' eyes with the new camera. Thanks to the Macro mode, Korn can take extremely detailed pictures of the eyes, allowing you to observe and record important details about your patients' health.

The doctor shows the case of a patient who had a cornea transplant and now needs to regularly check the healing progress "I'm using the iPhone 13 Pro Max for MACRO eyes photos this week and I'm very impressed. This feature will innovate patient eye care and telemedicine. The photos are of the curettage cure in a corneal transplant. Permission was obtained to use the photos. PS: This Pro camera also includes a phone application!", declares the doctor in his LinkedIn profile.

Optometrist Jeffrey Lewis also discusses how this resource becomes very useful in boosting telemedicine "Another way to impress, strengthen and cultivate long-term relationships with our patients."

We also point out that, despite having the new camera mode, Apple hasn't added a new lens specifically for Macro photos. Instead, on the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max the biggest news is the fact that they have an updated ultra-wide lens with a larger f/1.8 aperture and 120-degree field of view that is capable of capturing macro images with 2 inches away.
