The 2017 model may have its days numbered on the shelves to make way for a new model of Apple's smartwatch.
Apple may discontinue the Apple Watch Series 3 as early as September. The smartwatch should not receive the latest version of watchOS 9. Its place as a “budget smartwatch” could be taken by the Apple Watch SE 2.
The Apple Watch SE, according to analysts in the field, may have an S8 chip, with a performance that should not differ from many of its predecessors S6 and S7. This model should be presented at the next Apple Event, on September 7th.
Along with this, a new Apple Watch Pro will come to surprise fans of the apple brand. In terms of design, a flat screen is expected, slightly rounded at the edges. The dial could be 47mm, with a 1.99-inch screen. In terms of materials, it will be made from an improved titanium, and it will be the only smartwatch in the lineup in that material. Expect a stronger screen, a larger battery, and greater energy efficiency.
The new lineup is completed with the Apple Watch 8. The new 41mm and 45mm models should have a design the same as the 7 series. There will be three colors for the aluminum models (Midnight, Starlight, Silver and Red) and two for Apple Watches in stainless steel (Graphite and Silver).
One of the biggest novelties could be a temperature sensor, not only to track menstrual cycles, but also to notify users in case of fever or sleep monitoring.
