Apple patents a special foldable smartphone

The apple brand could be preparing for a big entry into the foldables market.

After rumors that Apple would be working on foldable screens, the Cupertino technology recently registered a patent with the United States Patent and Trademark Office for foldable smartphones. The registration takes account of a technology that minimizes the impact of a fall on the equipment's screen.

According to the patent, this is a technology in which the device, when it detects that it is falling, automatically closes itself; all this through sensors that detect vertical acceleration to detect the state of falling.

For now, no specific Apple spare equipment is known.
