One of Google's biggest events brought a lot of news in several sectors.
Google I/O 2023 took place on the 10th of May between new equipment, software and Artificial Intelligence news, today we go through some of the novelties presented by technology.
Google Pixel 7a
Google's lowest-end smartphone has arrived. The Pixel 7a is expected to be on sale for €510 and features specifications such as a 6.1-inch OLED screen with a 90Hz refresh rate and Gorilla Glass 3 glass. up to 5K at 60 fps, and a 13MP ultra wide. On the front, a 13MP sensor.
In terms of performance, the Google Pixel 7a features the Tensor G2 chip and 8GB of RAM, as well as a 4385 mAh battery with support for fast charging at 20W wired and 18W wireless.
Finally, the Google Pixel Fold
After months of rumors and speculation, the Google Pixel Fold has finally seen the light of day. Closed, a 5.8 inch screen allows you to do all the tasks that a smartphone allows. Inside, a 7.6-inch screen allows you to expand your interaction capabilities. As it is a foldable designed by Google, all the capabilities for sharing internal screens within the working environment of your work and productivity tools are assured.
In terms of cameras, the Pixel Fold has a main sensor at the rear. 48 MP, a 10.8 MP ultrawide, and a 10.8 MP telephoto sensor. Next to the outer screen, a 9.5 MP camera, and on the inner screen an 8MP sensor. A tablet? No, a Pixel Tablet
The long-awaited Pixel Tab has finally been released, after a first appearance last year. Available in three colors and in versions with 128GB and 256GB of internal memory, this tablet aims to surprise with its “anti-fingerprint” finish, the Tensor G2 chip and its capabilities as a smart display. Google's idea was to get out of the stereotype of the tablet, which ends up not adding much and ends up closed in a drawer. With the dedicated stand with sound system, Pixel Tablet can become a control panel for your home, controlling appliances, lights or security cameras. In addition, it can be a personal assistant, taking messages, writing emails and much more.
Android 14 news
Much of what was presented at Google I/O 2023 revolved around Artificial Intelligence, and not even the mobile operating system escaped! With Android 14, users will be able to customize their smartphone's wallpaper with AI-generated images. In messages, a "magic composition" tool will formulate automatic replies based on the conversation or messages in a tone chosen by the user.
In terms of customization, the new version of Android will allow you to make numerous changes to the locked screen, not only in terms of colors and fonts, but also in terms of design and layout of the information on the screen, as well as the two quick shortcuts at the bottom .
That Google Maps news
You've probably already come across a video of the demonstration of one of the great novelties of this event. Google Maps received a feature that has been talking about. This is an immersive route view. This means that, from the Google Maps app, when choosing your journey by car, bicycle or on foot, you can see a preview video of the route in an aerial view.
