The iPhone was the best-selling smartphone in 2022

Apple leads among the most requested devices last year.

The latest Counterpoint study points to the iPhone as the best-selling smartphone in 2022. In a top 10 worldwide, eight devices are iPhones, with the iPhone 13 at the top, with 5% of the market share. The podium is shared with two others, the iPhone 13 Pro Max in second, and the iPhone 14 Pro Max in third.

Only in 4th place is the first device on the non-Apple list, the Samsung Galaxy A13. In this top 10, we only find another device from the same brand, the Samsung Galaxy A03, in 10th place.

Another highlight in this top is the iPhone 12, launched in 2020, which occupies the 6th position, the oldest of all.

The leadership of the iPhone 13 is explained, in part, by the drop in equipment prices after the launch of the iPhone 14 in September, as in certain markets it remained at the top of sales.
