Smartphone market drops in 2023

The slight macroeconomic improvement did not help mobile phone manufacturers earlier this year.
The new Canalys report, cited by GSMarena, points to a 12% drop in the smartphone market in the first quarter of this year, compared to the same period last year. This is the fifth quarter of decline, points out the same entity.
Among manufacturers, Samsung regained market share by overtaking Apple again. This dynamic is explained by the decrease in interest in the iPhone 14 range. In third place is Xiaomi, which managed to maintain its position despite the drop in sales.
Canalys points to the second quarter of 2023 as a period of recovery in the market.
