Xiaomi's new smartphone came to break barriers with its technical specifications.
Xiaomi today launched the new Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Explorer, a smartphone based on the well-known Redmi Note 12+. Despite sharing several specifications, Explorer sets itself apart from the lineup (and the competition!) for its load capacity.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Explorer is capable of 210W fast charging. This means that, according to the brand, the device charges the battery from 0 to 100% in just 9 minutes. After 5 minutes, the battery is already at the 66% mark. All this is possible thanks to a technology from Xiaomi itself. However, the battery had to be reduced from 5000mAh to a 4300mAh one.
This charging speed is possible via a USB-PD standard. Xiaomi's cable will have three low-voltage 20V channels, each capable of handling power up to 100W. Also, only the E-mark chip cable (supplied in the box) will allow charging at this speed with this device.
Among the other specifications, the 200MP main camera stands out, also present in the Note 12+, confirming the rumors that Xiaomi would be working on a smartphone with a 200MP sensor.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Explorer was launched in China, with no release forecast for the international market yet.
