How to charge an electric car?

Charging an electric car is quite simple and intuitive, and to do so, simply connect the car to a charging point with a cable compatible with the vehicle model. You can charge at home, in a household outlet or with a wallbox, or use one of the several public charging stations available in the country.

Where to charge an electric car?

You can charge your electric car in several locations:

  • - At home: with the help of a wallbox (recommended option) or in emergency situations, in a normal household outlet (the least recommended option)
  • - Public stations: the number of charging stations spread across the country has been growing. You can find different options in a city, main roads, shopping centers, service areas and in some parking lots

How long does it take to charge an electric car?

The charging time of an electric car will always depend on factors, such as battery capacity (kWh), charger power (kW) and/or the level of charge the vehicle has at the time of charging.

  • - Domestic outlet (2.3 kW): between 15 to 30 hours to have a full charge
  • - Wallbox at home (7.4 kW to 11 kW): between 4 to 8 hours
  • - Fast post (50 kW or more): between 30 to 60 minutes to reach 80% charge
