One of Apple's weaknesses in relation to its currents is the screen. Samsung, the main chain of the American giant, has alreadyd using OLED technology a few models ago and we have to recognize that the screens come to life with OLED in relation to LCD.
We had already talked about some rumors that Apple was in negotiations with manufacturers to start using this technology in their iPhones. But now the confirmation appears to have come. The agreement was made between Apple, Samsung, LG and Foxconn, with Samsung expected to be responsible for around 60% of orders for these screens.
In addition to more vivid colors, OLED technology opens the door to the possibility of having curved screens on the iPhone, as is currently the case with Samsung in the EDGE model. Now it remains to be seen whether we will see OLED displays in the next iPhone model or just in future editions.
