The novelty has already been officially presented at CES 2022 in Las Vegas.
Samsung may launch a new foldable smartphone format this year: with a screen divided into three, opening to the sides. This is the application of the Flex G screens, presented at the CES 2022 event, in January last year. The news was released via Twitter, by Yogesh Brar, from 91mobiles.
These folding screens are characterized by two hinges in each third of the screen, allowing the equipment to be more compact and better protected in case of falls; a little like the folding screen patent that Apple recently filed.
Since no details were specified about this new smartphone with a tripartite screen, another type of foldable could be on the table: with the Flex Z screen. As its name implies, it is a screen with hinges that make it open zigzag.
Recently, other Samsung-related rumors point to the launch of a lineup of four foldable smartphones from the brand, including a 360° folding screen and a foldable tablet.
On the other hand, Brar even advances that this year there may not be a Samsung Galaxy S23 FE.
