Apple will use 100% recycled batteries by 2025

Towards greater sustainability, the apple brand announces news.

Apple will use 100% recycled cobalt batteries from 2025, in a strategy aimed at accelerating the expansion of the use of recycled materials in its equipment. The brand also advances that, for the same time target, it will use magnets made from rare elements entirely recycled, as well as Apple's own circuit boards will use 100% recycled tin solder, with a gold coating that is also completely recycled.

Last year alone, Apple announced that three-thirds of aluminum, about three-quarters of rare elements and more than 95% of tungsten used are recycled. The brand's goal is to make all its products carbon neutral by 2030.

Apple has been using this type of 100% recycled cobalt batteries in various devices over the last 3 years, and is therefore a recurring practice in technology.
