European Union guarantees free roaming until 2032

If you frequently travel through the Community Area, know that you will be able to continue to enjoy your telecommunications plan in European Union countries without roaming charges for at least the next 10 years.

Five years after the implementation of the European Union's "roam like at home" project, the council assured that operators are prevented from charging roaming in the European economic area until 2032.

The initiative allows users to enjoy the same telecommunications plan that they use in their home country in the various EU member countries.

Telecommunications operators will be obliged, under this diploma, to inform customers about the expected quality of services in the country of destination, as well as about potential costs for certain services.

On the other hand, telecommunications service providers can implement a policy of “fair use” of tariffs, preventing customers from subscribing to cheaper tariffs while permanently living in another country.
