Galaxy Ring? Samsung may be preparing a new wearable

Korean technology has not yet commented on this possible new device.

Samsung may be working on a Galaxy Ring, a smart ring that may include some features already provided by smartwatches such as heart rate meters or blood pressure.

The company allegedly responsible for the production, The Elec, tells the Korean press, quoted by GSMarena, that it has already finished the product development process, and that production could start as early as next month. The same source says that Samsung has already insured its hardware sources, needing only to decide when to start producing.

Like the Galaxy Watch, this Galaxy Ring will have to go through multiple certification processes for validation as a medical device. These processes could take months, so this new equipment, to be launched, will only be able to reach the public next year. Some rumors even point to its launch at the time of the next line of smartphones, the Galaxy S24.
