From Galaxy Z Fold5 to Flip5, iServices already knows the news

Samsung today presents new equipment for 2023 at Unpacked, namely the new Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5 and Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5. iServices was present last week at an exclusive event to learn about the latest Korean technology.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5: proof that better is always possible

The new Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5 is the mirror of continuous improvement work in recent years.

First, the 3.4-inch external screen stands out, occupying almost the entire upper outer layer. With more space, this new display extends the possibilities of using this smartphone with a series of new and improved widgets. On this screen you can reply to messages with the QWERTY keyboard and consult third-party apps such as WhatsApp, YouTube, Netflix, Google Maps, among others; all without opening the phone. And if you get lost between widgets, zoom out to see all available apps from the external screen.

Another improvement is related to the hinge mechanism. The new system allows the two halves of the screen to come together completely when the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5 is closed. Thus, the inner screen becomes less prone to injury with continued use.

As for the cameras, the new Galaxy Z Flip5 has a wide lens and an ultra wide lens, both 12 MP. As for performance, the smartphone has a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, and new menus in Flex Mode, allowing for more fluid navigation between apps.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5 is available in four colors: Black, Cream, Lavender and Mint.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5: small big advances

The great expected of the event, the Galaxy Z Fold5, features improvements that further raise the bar in the folding smartphone market.

In terms of design, the new Fold is more portable, easier to carry in the hand and more ergonomic. Like the Flip, this foldable also has a hinge with an improved Flex Hinge system, with the internal screen completely superimposed on itself when closed.

With the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor and a vapor chamber for better breathing, the Galaxy Z Flod5 is a smartphone “tailored for gaming”, as stated in the presentation. Speed and autonomy are watchwords, not only for playing, but also for working, with new ways of multitasking. With the Taskbar optimized to display more recently used apps and pop up windows, it's never been easier to use more than one app at once on a Fold. Still, Samsung further elevates the possibilities of working with this smartphone in multi-tasking, with Multi-Touch in Multi-tasking. This system consists of using two fingers on the screen, one in each application, to optimize the passage of information between the two.

Other new additions related to the Galaxy Z Fold5 include improvements to Flex Mode with pen integration, and a new cover that more organically incorporates the pen.

What other news can we expect from Samsung?

The new Galaxy Watch6

For this year, Samsung brings us the Samsung Galaxy Watch6 and Galaxy Watch6 Classic.

The first novelty, an adjustment in the size of the screen, with one more inch, therefore, 20% larger and with a thinner frame. In addition, both models will feature a faster processor.

Among the functionalities, the extended remote control of the camera was highlighted, namely the possibility of zooming through the bezel of the clock.

Well-being and sleep were watchwords when presenting the watches. To this end, sleep monitoring was improved, with improvements in metrics and the inclusion of tips on better habits. In addition, with the information collected and integration with Samsung SmartThings, the watch can control various elements of your home when bedtime approaches, such as adjusting the intensity of light or turning off equipment.

Viewing reports or advanced metrics has also improved, being able to see more detailed information on the watch itself.

For sports, the Samsung Galaxy Watch6 offers personalized training tracking according to the user.

In terms of personalization, not only were new Watch Faces revealed, but the new Galaxy Watches have a one-click system for changing straps, allowing you to change styles more easily and frequently.

The new Samsung Galaxy Tab S9

Samsung continues to invest in tablets, as highly equipped multimedia equipment, for all situations. For this year, three models were presented: the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9, the Galaxy Tab S9+ and the Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra.

Like the foldable smartphones, the three new Samsung tablets have a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. For multimedia consumption, the tablets have 2x Dynamic AMOLED screens and 20% larger speakers. In terms of resistance, they have an IP68 certificate for water resistance, and for moments of productivity they receive apps such as GoodNotes, Lumafusion, Clip Studio Paint and Arcsite.
